Breadfruit Pie -3
 

​Ingredients



1 cooked breadfruit

1 small tin of milk
2 cups grated cheese

1 large onion

2 cloves garlic
Seasoning pepper, chives

or other seasoning
1 lb saltfish or smoked herring (stewed)
1 egg

 



 

Method


1. Peel the cooked breadfruit and remove its core.


2. Grate it.



3. Add the milk and half of the grated cheese.


4. Finely chop the onion, garlic and seasoning pepper and add them together with the other seasonings and the egg.


5. Ensure that the stewed saltfish or smoked herring is not too salty and pour it into the breadfruit mixture.


6. Mix thoroughly and pour into a greased baking dish.



7. Spread the remainder of the grated cheese on top and bake at 350 degrees.



8. Allow to cool and enjoy!



Tip:

​

Try substituting the stewed saltfish or herring for canned tuna fish. Delicious!
