Cassava Pone



Ingredients


3 cups farine
1 large coconut grated
2 oz margarine (melted)
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
½ tsp nutmeg
½  tsp mixed spice
1 tsp vanilla essence
Rind of ½ orange
½ tsp salt



Method



 

1. In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.


2. Add margarine.


3. Add eggs, vanilla essence and milk.


4. Beat well and place in a square greased baking dish.


5. Bake in a moderate oven for ½ hours.


6. Once cooked, glaze with sugar and water and cut into squares.
