​Creamy Yams

​Ingredients 

​

1 Yam

Salt to taste

2 tbsp. butter 

Milk as needed

​

The Method 

​

1. Wash and peel the yam and allow it to stand in cold water for 30 minutes.

​

2. Cook in boiling salted water until tender.

​

3. Drain and mash with a potato masher, add butter, salt and milk.

​
