Curried Chicken
​
Ingredients
​
2 lbs chicken
3 onions
parsley
celery
thyme
2 garlic cloves
salt to taste
1/2 lb carrots or potatoes
2 tbsp curry powder
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp fat (butter)

 


The Method
​
1. Clean chicken and season with salt, ketchup, garlic, herbs and onions.
​

 

2. Fry lightly in fat (butter) in a large pot.
​
3. Add curry and simmer in water until chicken is nearly cooked.
​

 

4. Dice carrots or potatoes and add to pot.
​
5. Continue cooking chicken until potatoes or carrots are both tender.
​
