Ginger Beer

Ingredients
​
3 lbs ginger 
2 lbs sugar 
3 liters boiled water

​


The Method
​
1. Clean and wash the ginger and grate with a fine grater or pound with a mortar and pestle.
​​
2. Place the ginger and water into a large glass jar and cover loosely.
​​
3. Store in a cool place for a minimum of 24 to 48 hours.
 
4. Strain and sweeten.
​
5. Bottle and refrigerate.
​
6. Serve cold.
