Guava Cheese

Ingredients
​
1 lb ripe guavas
Sugar
​
The Method
1. Wash and cut the ends of the guavas.
2. Grease a shallow pan or dish with butter.
3. Rub the guavas through a sieve.
4. Measure the pulp and add one cup of sugar for each cup of pulp.
5. Place the pulp and sugar in a pot and boil and stir constantly, until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot.
6. When the mixture forms a soft ball in cold water, remove it from the heat and pour it into the shallow greased dish.
7. Allow to cool and set.
8. Cut in squares and rolls each square in granulated sugar.
