Pineapple Cheese

Ingredients

​

1 medium sized pineapple
2 cups Sugar

​

 

The Method


1. Wash and peel the pineapple.


2. Grease a shallow pan or dish with butter.


3. Remove the eyes and grate the pineapple.


4.
 Place the grated pineapple and sugar in a heavy pot and boil and stir constantly, until the syrup spins a long thread when tested.


6. Beat with a wooden spoon for about 5 minutes, then pour into the buttered  dish.

7. Allow to cool and set.


8. Cut in squares.
