Plantain Flour Bakes

Ingredients


4 oz plantain flour
1 oz flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
¼ oz lard or margarine
½ pt oil for frying
Water to mix



 

 

Method


1. Sift the dry ingredients together.


2. Rub in the margarine or lard, then mix with water to a stiff consistency.


3. Shape into balls and then flatten.


4. Heat oil and fry each bake until golden brown.



Serve hot with  cheese, jam, fried fish or fried salt fish.
