Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients


1 chopped onion
2 cups minced meat
1 red seasoning pepper (chopped)
1 green seasoning pepper (chopped)
1 crushed clove of garlic
1 sprig parsley
1 sprig thyme
¼ cup tomato ketchup
2 cups cooked mashed potatoes
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup cheese
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp oil


Method


1. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.


2. Add ½ of the cheese, butter and milk.


3. Saute herbs , peppers, onions and garlic in oil and add minced meat.


4.  Season with salt and pepper.


5. Saute until meat is totally cooked.


6. Add the ketchup.


7. Fill a greased dish with ½ of the potato mixture.


8. Flatten the potato mixture with a fork.


9. Add cooked minced meat and flatten with a fork.


10. Add the rest of the potato mixture.  Flatten and sprinkle with cheese.


11. Place in a hot oven and bake until golden brown.
