Sorrel Drink 2

Sorrel is a traditional Christmas Drink

Ingredients

3 - 4 lbs fresh sorrel
1 gallon water
2 lbs sugar

2 sticks of cinnamon

4-6 bay leaves

a few cloves

The Method

1. Discard the sorrel seeds. Rinse the sorrel and place in a large deep pot.

2. Boil the water and spices.

​3. Turn off heat and add sorrel.

4. Strain the liquid and add sugar.  

5. Adjust sugar and water to taste, as desired.
