Vegetable Balls

Ingredients

​

2 greenfigs
2 christophenes
½ cup green peas
2 stems of celery and parsley (finely chopped)
breadcrumbs to bind
salt and black pepper to taste

​

 

The Method

​

1. Cook the vegetables until soft enough to mash.

​

 

2. Drain the excess water and place the vegetables in a bowl. Mash it with a potato masher. and allow it to cool down.

​

3. Add the rest of the ingredients, and mix it thoroughly.

​

 

4. Make balls with the mixture at the sizing of your choice. Roll in bread crumbs and they can be fried or baked.

​

If you are baking the dish, then place in oven for approximately 35 minutes at a temperature of 200*c.
