Yam Biscuits



Ingredients


¾  cup cooked mashed yam
1 ¼ cup flour
4 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. melted margarine
1 tbsp. sugar
½  tsp salt
½ tsp mixed spice
2/3 cup milk



Method



 

1. Preheat oven to 455°F.


2. Sift the dry ingredients.


3. In a separate bowl, add the yam, milk, margarine and mix well.


4. Add the dry ingredients, and mix well.  It should form stiff dough.


5. Flour a board and roll out the dough to a thickness of a ½ inch.


6. Cut into shapes using a cookie cutter and place on a greased baking dish.


7. Bake for 20 minutes.
