Tamarind Balls
Ingredients
1 lb Tamarind pulp with seeds
1 1/2 lb sugar (more or less)
pepper or hot pepper sauce to taste
salt to taste
The Method
1. In a bowl, sprinkle a little warm water, to the tamarind pulp, just enough to moisten it.
2. Using your hands mix the tamarind pulp, 1 lb of sugar, pepper and salt in a bowl, then continue to add sugar to mixture until it is dough like in consistency.
3. Taste, yum. Adjust sugar, salt and pepper flavoring, if desired.
4. Make balls with the mixture at the sizing of your choice.
5. Roll in sugar.
